Redcliffe Peninsula

This is an ongoing photographic assignment as I spend a considerable amount of time in the area and always spot new things worth photographing.

Looking for a Sea Change?
Living on the coast has always been popular, but it is even more so now since many people are looking for a SeaChange. Seaside properties are in demand and apartment blocks with bay or ocean views like this one are springing up all along the coastline. Wouldn't it be great to own the penthouse of this one?

The Houghton Highway & Hornibrook Bridge
These bridges are said to be amongst the southern hemisphere's longest bridges. The old Hornibrook Bridge, built in the 1930s, is now just used by recreational fishermen, joggers, cyclists etc. Brisbane's CBD is vaguely visible in the distance (top left hand corner in enlarged shot).

Redcliffe Streetscape
The trees lining both sides of the road are 'Moreton Bay Figs' (more) which are majestic and well sought after tropical/sub-tropical trees named after the local bay here, but these trees have also been planted in other places such as in California.

Hello Gary,

Lucky me, I get to put the first comment on. I think this page shows a wonderful selection of highlights on the Redcliffe Peninsula. Keep up the good promotional work.
